Today is the final Orca Bay Mystery Monday Link Up at Quiltville.
I just finished the last border this morning and am happy to share the finished top! As I have said many times before, this mystery was so much fun! I love it. Thank you Bonnie!
I would like to load it on the frame and start quilting it right away but I really can't today. First of all, it may take hours of pressing and picking at stray threads to get it prepped. Also, today I am back to quilting customer quilts. My quilting machine is home, set up and ready to get back to work. So I am ready to get back to work too.
The next photo is of a Jelly Roll 1600 top I made Tuesday at the Warwick Guild. I cut strips from my own fabrics and used them instead of a jelly roll. I really like it. It was easy and fun. But I'm not sure where to add this to my UFO list.
Speaking of the UFO List.
I didn't link with Patchwork Times UFO Challenge last week. I didn't work on the number Judy picked but continued working on other unfinished tops. I didn't finish anything to show anyway... finish as in quilted and bound. Anyway, I think I may be confused by the term UFO. I thought it was anything that is started but not completely finished. But maybe that is a work in progress and a UFO is an older unfinished project that was lost in the back of the closet or something? Anyway whatever anyone calls them, they aren't really quilts yet are they?
Can't wait to see everyone's Orca Bay progress!
Also, linking with Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times to see what else is going on.
Thanks for visiting.
Susan

Love your orca bay mystery! It looks great in the colors you chose. Congratulations on getting the top done. I am far, far slower than you :-)
Oh, my, Wonderful! I love the way your colors work together.
Susan, your Orca Bay is fabulous. I adore your colour choices , one of my favourites by far. well done!
Morning Susan:)
Your Orca Bay came out wonderful! Soooo many pieces. I can imagine it will take quite a while to press. I pressed my jelly roll race quilt when I got home and then decided to wash it
since the fabrics weren't washed before. So then I had to press it again! Time consuming.
And yes UFOs are the ones in the back of the closet. I only have one or two of those.....but quite a few WIPs! Have a great week.

Very beautiful, I'm really enjoying looking at the ones in different colorways!
It is wonderful! I love it. It really was a lot of fun to make.
So many small pieces! Love your mystery quilt.
Lovely - you chose a really pretty colour palette.
I so love your colors, there is just something so warming and calming to me when I see your colors in this quilt. Gorgeous!! It reminds me of the vacations that we took in the summer to the mountains, I think that's it. wonderful
Your mystery quilt turned out beautiful. It reminds me of an early morning looking over the ocean. Just Lovely!! Yes UFO's have to at least be 1 year or older. Not necessarily lost in the back of your closets! Ha ha
Love those colors on the Orca Bay. It turned out lovely!
Beautiful, I love your soft pretty colors.
I love your colors - I think that's the prettiest Orca Bay I've seen!
Stunning! I love the watercolor effect; it's so different from the expected combination and yet the pattern shines through. Great work!
I'm really slow getting around to the Orca Bay links. I love this color combo--what a subtly, yet beautiful effect! For some reason it makes me think of water lilys (maybe a Monet?).
